Setting up Eudora
[Eudora 1.4 or older] [Eudora Light] [Eudora Pro]
Here's how to setup Eudora (v1.4 or lower):
- Open Eudora
- Click on Special in the menu
- Click on Configuration
- Make sure the following are set:
 | POP Account: yourusername@mail.cros.net [example:
me@mail.cros.net] |
| Real Name: [insert your name here--optional] |
| Connection: MacTCP (for the Mac) or Winsock (for
Windows) |
| SMTP Server: mail.cros.net |
| Return Address: yourusername@cros.net [example:
me@cros.net] |
| PH Server: [leave blank] |
| Dialup Username: [leave blank] |
Click on OK
Your configuration is complete!
Here's how to configure Eudora Lite:
- Open Eudora Lite
- Click on Special in the menu
- Click on Settings
- Click on the "1 Getting Started" icon in the left
window
- In the right window, set the following options:
| POP Account: yourusername@mail.cros.net [example:
me@mail.cros.net] |
| Real Name: [insert your name here--optional] |
| Connection Method: MacTCP (for the Mac) or Winsock (for
Windows) |
Click on "Personal Information" icon in the left
window
In the right window, set the following options:
| Return address: yourusername@cros.net [example:
me@cros.net] |
| Dialup Username: [blank] |
Click on the "Hosts" icon in the left window
In the right window, set the following options:
| SMTP: mail.cros.net |
| ph: [leave blank] |
| Finger: [leave blank] |
Click on OK
Your configuration is complete!
Here's how to configure Eudora Pro
(NOTE: depending on your version of Eudora Pro, the way to get to the settings may
be different--some versions have you select Special from the menu and then click on
Settings; check your Eudora Pro documentation if you the following does not apply to your
setup):
- Open Eudora Pro
- Click on Tools in the menu
- Click on Options
- Click on the "Getting Started" icon in the left
window
- In the right window, set the following options:

| Connection Method: MacTCP or TCP/IP (for the Mac) or
Winsock (for Windows) |
